White Cargo (1942) - Video
Lamarr, in another of her best-known roles, plays the part of the alluring Tondelayo who seduces pretty much everyone at a British plantation post in Africa. Pidgeon, the expeditionist quickly falls in love with her and the plot plods on. This movie features exotic love scenes and a borish, corny plot. Nonetheless, White Cargo is a great movie and should be high on your "must have" movie list, if only to share a bit more time with the wonderful Lamarr!

Lamarr is unbelievably sexy, and she glides through the powerless men in the movie in many alluring halter tops, skirts and other weapons. Some of the movie can be fast forwarded, but only because it is sometimes hard to watch special effects from the forties without wincing. This is not only a classic film, this is also very classy filmmaking.
